Senior M&A Advisor

Job Summary

As a Senior M&A Advisor, your primary responsibility will be to source and originate deals, actively searching for and identifying businesses for sale. You will serve as the liaison between buyers and sellers, supporting business owners through valuation, preparation, and negotiation processes, while also identifying qualified buyers and ensuring smooth, successful transactions.

Responsibilities

Deal Sourcing & Origination

  • Proactively identify and source businesses for sale through research, networking, referrals, and market intelligence.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities across various industries in Spain.

Client Management

  • Develop and manage relationships with business owners, understanding their financials, operations, and objectives.
  • Guide clients through the confidential listing and selling process.
  • Coordinate valuations, prepare company profiles, and create tailored marketing strategies to attract potential buyers.

Buyer Identification

  • Research and identify potential buyers using internal channels, industry databases, networking events, and online platforms.
  • Assess buyer suitability based on financial capacity, industry knowledge, and strategic alignment.
  • Secure confidentiality agreements prior to sharing sensitive information.

Negotiation & Deal Structuring

  • Lead negotiations between buyers and sellers to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Support deal structuring, including term sheets and offers, in collaboration with legal and financial professionals.

Due Diligence & Closing

  • Coordinate and manage the due diligence process, resolving issues as they arise.
  • Assist buyers in securing acquisition financing when relevant.
  • Work with legal teams to finalize contracts and agreements.
  • Facilitate a seamless transition of ownership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications are advantageous).
  • Proven experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) is required.
  • Background in business brokerage, business development, or partnership management is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in financial analysis, business valuation, and deal structuring.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong understanding of Spanish legal frameworks for business transactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple deals and clients simultaneously.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality.
